Heather Saxby, FNP-BC
Heather graduated from Duke University as a Family Nurse Practitioner after almost 8 years at VCU Health System as a Registered Nurse and Clinical Coordinator. There she learned how to advocate for and empower her patients to take charge of their own health. Prior to that, Heather graduated from the University of Virginia and worked in healthcare consulting in Washington, DC. Heather was drawn to the spirit and compassion she saw in nurses and aims to use that energy with her patients. Heather is honored to walk alongside her patients through the many facets of their lives, promoting holistic health and positive decision-making for patients and their families. When she’s not working, you can find her exploring new restaurants in Richmond, the South of the James Farmer’s Market, or visiting the mountains of Charlottesville (go Hoos!) with her husband and two daughters.
Ana Alzamora, FNP-C
Ana Alzamora, FNP-C, is a Board-Certified Family Nurse practitioner and a graduate of Fresno Pacific University with over a decade of experience in emergency and gynecological care. Originally from Peru, Ana joined Mansilla Medical from California, having moved to Virginia to be closer to family. Ana has a “patient first” approach to healthcare and provides personal and compassionate care to her patients. By practicing active listening, she establishes relationships built upon trust with each of her patients. She believes that establishing a high level of trust between the patient and provider leads to a higher quality of care. She is excited about all that Virginia has to offer and when she is not working, she enjoys staying active outdoors hiking, camping, and kayaking with her husband and two dogs.
The daughter of two proud immigrant parents (Colombian and El Salvadorean), Mindy Petrie graduated cum laude from Seminole State College in Florida with a degree in Health Science, specializing in Healthcare Management. Serving almost 18 years as a medical assistant, Mindy is well-versed in both the clinical aspects of care delivery as well as practice side. Because of her education and long years of patient experience, Mindy knows the true value of patient-centered care. Mindy is still relatively new to Virginia, and when not working she enjoys strength training exercise, hiking, and spending time with her husband, 3 kids, and 2 beagles.
